Located at 94 Piccadilly, the historic Cambridge House is undergoing a transformative redevelopment scheduled for completion in late 2025. Managed by Auberge Resorts Collection and owned by Reuben Brothers, this Grade I-listed former royal residence and former In and Out Military Club site will become a luxury hotel featuring 102 rooms, a private members club, and an expansive double-floor spa inspired by Roman bathhouse traditions.
The redevelopment is part of Reuben Brothers' £1 billion regeneration of 1.3 prime acres across the Piccadilly Estate, incorporating historic preservation alongside modern infrastructure. Cambridge House comprises several historic buildings, including the Palladian mansion commissioned in 1756, as well as adjoining Grade II-listed townhouses on Piccadilly and nearby streets.
Ardmore Construction Limited is the principal contractor leading the complex restoration and structural works. Their role encompasses the intricate "cut and carve" structural expansion, sensitive restoration of original architectural features, and the construction of new five-storey superstructures atop reinforced concrete substructures extending three to four levels underground. Ardmore’s expertise ensures the integrity of historic facades while integrating high-spec new builds, meeting strict conservation and acoustic isolation standards given proximity to underground rail lines.
Design-wise, Jean-Louis Deniot oversees the overall transformation of the property with a classically inspired British aesthetic. Laura Gonzalez contributes her talents to key interiors including the spa, dining venues, members-only bars, and private club rooms. The spa itself will showcase hydrotherapy pools, seven treatment rooms, a circular relaxation lounge with fire pit, gyms, studios, and heat rooms grounded in Britain's healing lore and Roman influences.
Cambridge House also features diverse event spaces, a brasserie-style Georgian ballroom restaurant, and an open-air jasmine courtyard, revitalizing the property as a vibrant social and cultural hub in Mayfair.
